ಸಂಪಾಜೆ: ಕೊಡಗು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಂಪಾಜೆ ಸಮೀಪದ ಎಡನೀರು ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಂಪಾಜೆ ಯಕ್ಷೋತ್ಸವ – 2026 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಡಿಶಾ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಎಸ್. ದೀಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ‘ಶ್ರೀ ಕೇಶವಾನಂದ ಭಾರತಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ’ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸೇವೆ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಎಸ್. ದೀಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಎಡನೀರು ಮಠದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಸಮಾರಂಭ ಸಂಪಾಜೆ ಯಕ್ಷೋತ್ಸವ–2026ರ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ. ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ, ಕಲೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಕೇಶವಾನಂದ ಭಾರತಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂವಿಧಾನಾತ್ಮಕ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಮೂಲ ರಚನೆಯ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತೀರ್ಪಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದೇ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮಹತ್ವವಿದೆ.
ಸಂಪಾಜೆ ಯಕ್ಷೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣ್ಯರು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು, ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಲೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಿಧಾನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಸಂಗಮಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು.

Retired Justice Krishna S. Dixit Honoured with Sri Kesavananda Bharati National Justice Award at Sampaje Yakshotsava-2026
Sampaje: Retired Justice Krishna S. Dixit, who served in the High Courts of Karnataka and Odisha, was conferred the prestigious Sri Kesavananda Bharati National Justice Award today at Sampaje Yakshotsava-2026, held at Edneeru Matha near Sampaje in Kodagu district.
The award recognises Justice Krishna S. Dixit’s distinguished contribution to the judiciary, his unwavering commitment to upholding constitutional values and his significant service to the legal profession.
The award presentation was one of the major highlights of Sampaje Yakshotsava-2026. Organised against the spiritual and cultural backdrop of Edneeru Matha, the event celebrated the close relationship between Yakshagana, art, culture and the traditions of the judiciary.
The award holds special significance as it is instituted in the name of the landmark Kesavananda Bharati case, which culminated in a historic Supreme Court judgment establishing the Basic Structure Doctrine of the Indian Constitution. This doctrine remains a cornerstone of India’s constitutional jurisprudence.
The event witnessed the participation of several dignitaries, eminent personalities from the legal and judicial fraternity, renowned Yakshagana artists and members of the public.
Sampaje Yakshotsava-2026 once again provided a meaningful platform for bringing together art, cultural heritage and constitutional values, making the occasion a memorable celebration of India’s rich intellectual and cultural traditions.
